THE BOARD GAME

Prep the game

Put the board on the table and place the Medicine (M) and Placebo (P) tokens in the Medical bay and the Food (F) in the Kitchen. You are free to place beds, plants and other loose elements in places of your choosing. 
Shuffle all three card decks and have all players pick 3 robot ability cards at random. These are now abilities of their robot, and can be used to complete goals or counteract action cards. Give all players one action card. Put all three decks next to the board.  Give all players 50 Energy tokens. All players pick one Robot figure. The robot with R can start.

Rules

  • The cards state how many items you can hold. 
  • You can have a max of 6 robot cards in your hand. If you grab a new card (happens blindly) You have to swap one out. You MUST take the new one and discard an old one. 
  • if you choose to grab an action card which contains a challenge or obstacle, you can give it to another player. If you HAVE to grab one, due to lack of other options, the challenges applies to your robot.
  • You do not have to show your ability cards at all times. You do need to show the applicable ones when proving you can complete a task.
  • The game ends if three players have entered the elevator.

Turn

  1. Decide on drawing an action card or not. (Not a must)
  2. On your turn you can use all your robot abilities once max, by spending the energy listed on the card. You can use the abilities to complete your goal cards. 
  3. During your turn you can play an action card OR complete a goal card
  4. If you do not have all abilities to achieve the goal, there can be certain consequences and a loss of points. 
  5. At the end of the turn you can grab a new goal card.
  6. If your robot has entered the tool room, you can skip your turn and draw a robot card.
  7. Do not forget to recharge if you are almost out of energy! Recharging costs one turn. After that turn you recharge back to 50 Energy. If you run out of energy before reaching the charger, the next turns can only be used to taking one step per turn.
  8. Concluding your turn you can move one of the elders up to 10 spaces.

Below are pictures of the game. Figure 1 contains the cards for the game. There will be multiples of the cards available, where some cards are more rare than others. Figure 2 show the board in action, the cards, the energy tokens and the four robot figures that spell out ROSE.
